I feel that this week&weekend was an extremely balanced one.

I stressed stressed stressed the first half of it. Memorized/learned the good 150 buildings/architects/history for my architecture history class for the big midterm and also turned in a take-home 12 pager for my environmental policy&management class. Lot’s of studying with Audrey and constantly admitting “okay, let’s go back to the Mughal and the Ottoman lecture…again.” I won’t say i owned it, but i knew most of them and up until yesterday when i was hanging out with my friend the secret-genius (by secret i mean, you would assume him to be the slacker), that i realized i didn’t do as well as i thought i had. Oh dear, the Humuyan’s tomb, Humuyan’s tomb. all is past, but i am pushing myself harder for the next round.

My second part was surprisingly chill, i finished my homework for three of my classes by wednesday. Proud moment here because i usually wait until Saturday. All to prepare for nice math marathon i threw for myself. #Hoorah! And so much room to kick the stress monster out for this weekend, which resulted in snippets of fun events!

First sushi dish of my life, yes quite embarrassing, but i finally did it…with chopsticks!

I also decided to go with a wedding landscape for my pop-up book project for my landscape arch. class. Since my older sister is getting married this year, i figured it’d be a nice gift for them. (also, this is just the rough outline of what i’m doing haha. there will be bristol/watercolor/craft/indian ink/soft pastels/etc involved).

g o o g l e.

Midterm season has been going on for about a strong month now. Paper after paper after test after exams. (cheers cheers cheers!) With the vast amount of research and study comes the itching urge to procrastinate.

I like to consider myself an efficient procrastinator. I mean i catch up on new music, I plan out my week, and apparently i google people. Yes I finally did it. My dear friend from high school, my best friend actually, has cut herself out from every and any social network. It saddens me, because i text for urgencies and my inbox consists of all of my Berkeley friends unless it’s holiday time. Anyway, i decided to google her name and came across her blog that we had to write in for a creative writing class in high school. I’ll be straight here, i think she’s one of the wittiest person i’ve met ever. Our combined sarcastic comments were a trademark really. Reading through it made me miss her and to no surprise i made an unsuccessful 3am phone call. She responded in the morning, but the main point being:

-Why distance ourselves from the people that have shaped who we are?

(she’s the one in the teal getting gropped, and i the other one in teal laughing at the gropping #win)

corny, but hey, i need to remind myself every week or two to phone my mother. My friend said things in the ‘busy bee’ subcategory and yatta yatta. I grant that my responsibilities were morequantitative in high school as apposed to their present qualitative nature, but i’m starting to believe that keeping a busy nature is a good thing and that involves incorporating the pleasant things in life.

You know what it is.

Yes, a little humour there. I don’t know ‘what it is’ about that song, but i seem to sing it intermittently. Anyway.

Call your mothers,

Cyndy.
